A Season of Connection and Community
PHSS Summer Social is back for another season at Community Place North!
Summer Social is a place where young adults can be themselves and enjoy a fun and meaningful summer. Designed for those with developmental, medical, and complex physical needs who are still in high school and living with family, it’s all about building confidence, making friends, and feeling a genuine sense of belonging.
Every day is different, and that’s part of what makes it so fun. Activities are shaped by the interests and abilities of each week’s group, giving participants the chance to do what they enjoy and explore new things too. Whether it’s accessible fishing, a game of baseball or cricket, getting outside for a nature walk, or simply spending time with friends, there’s always something to look forward to.
With small group sizes, each participant receives the care and support they need to feel comfortable, included, and able to fully take part in each day.
Behind the scenes, we have a dedicated team putting so much thought, planning, and heart into bringing Summer Social to life. From organizing activities to creating a safe and welcoming environment, their energy and commitment are what make each day meaningful, fun, and memorable.
Running Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 3:30pm, from July 6th to August 28th 2026, each session creates a consistent, welcoming space where participants can truly settle in and feel part of something special.
As we get ready to kick off another summer, we’re excited to welcome both familiar faces and new participants. Summer Social 2026 is shaping up to be another incredible season, full of connection, growth, and plenty of great memories.
